Donald Trump's representatives have asserted that Stacey Williams, the latest individual to accuse the former president of sexual misconduct, previously served as an activist for Barack Obama. They categorically denied the allegations made against Trump.
Williams, a former supermodel, claimed that Trump groped her in 1993 after being introduced to him by the late Jeffrey Epstein, with whom she stated she was involved at the time. She clarified that she had no direct knowledge of any offenses committed by Epstein.
In a recent call with Survivors for Kamala, a group of over 200 individuals who have experienced sexual and gender-based violence and are supporting Vice President Kamala Harris in her presidential campaign, Williams shared her allegations. Trump's national press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, responded to the claims, labeling them as false and suggesting they were fabricated by the Harris campaign in a politically motivated effort. Newsweek has reached out to both Survivors for Kamala and Obama's team for further comments.
Did Stacey Williams work for Barack Obama?
Prior to his election on November 4, 2008, Williams was affiliated with Clean Tech for Obama (CT4O), as noted in the End of Project Report released by CT40 on November 14, 2008. The organization successfully raised $1.6 million for the former president's campaign and organized several events to support this initiative.
The name Stacey Williams appears frequently in a roster of individuals involved in various capacities, including the House Party Outreach Team, Battleground States Directors, Battleground States Coordinators, the Messaging & Media Team, the Battleground States Message Development Team, the Video Projects Team, and the National Steering Committee.

Imago, a photo agency, highlights the work of Stacey Williams for Clean Tech for Obama in a caption accompanying a photograph taken on August 24, 2008. The caption states, "Stacey Williams, a former supermodel, is now pursuing her passion for organization by collaborating with Clean Tech for Obama. She returned home to view the acceptance speech of the Obamas alongside her young daughter." The image features a close-up of Williams' face.
In response to Newsweek's inquiry regarding evidence supporting its claim about Obama, Trump's team provided a Federal Election Commission document associated with the Obama for America committee that included Stacey Williams' name. Clean Tech for Obama (CT4O) was established by a group of professionals dedicated to advancing Obama's clean energy initiatives. The organization advocated for sustainable energy practices, emphasizing a decrease in dependence on fossil fuels and a transition to renewable energy sources.
The successor to CT4O is Clean Energy for Harris (CE4H), which identifies itself as "a network of over 16,000 clean energy and climate tech professionals, advocates, and business leaders" committed to electing Kamala Harris as President of the United States. The previous iteration, Clean Energy for Biden (CE4B), successfully raised $3.2 million for the Biden campaign.
